More than 45 years ago, Edda began her sweet baking business out of the family kitchen. What started as a passion for designing cakes with originality and style quickly turned into something much larger. As word spread, her unique artistic designs and her legendary cult classic Vanilla Rum cake earned a devoted following that soon outgrew her home. Armed with a solid clientele and a vision for the future, Edda opened her first cake shop, and Edda’s Cake Company was born.

With the help of her children, the business flourished. What began as a boutique operation soon expanded into four retail stores, becoming South Florida’s go to destination for best-selling wedding and celebration cakes. In 2009, under the leadership of Edda’s son, the company took a bold step forward by introducing the signature line of Edda’s Bundt Cakes to select Miami supermarkets. This marked the beginning of an exciting wholesale venture that would take these beloved flavors beyond the original storefronts.

The growth of the company has been fueled by a simple promise to stay true to the founding principles of quality and taste. That commitment led the brand into successful school fundraising programs and allowed the wholesale line to expand to include everything from celebration cakes and assorted cupcakes to the classic Tres Leches and Flan desserts. Each new launch has been met with the same enthusiastic approval that Edda received in her kitchen decades ago.
